UNSUNG HEROES OF PAKISTAN
“HERO” a man of distinguished courage and ability, admired for his brave deeds and noble qualities. The person has heroic qualities or performed heroic acts in order to save or help someone. Mostly, people watch movies and see a hero who is also a main lead of a story, they act according to the script provided by film or drama producers. But in practical life hero is the one who does not care about his life, family and sacrifice them for the sake of their homeland.
Pakistan is full of those kind of gallants who sacrificed their today for our better tomorrow, and those real life combatants are mostly belong to our proud Armed forces whether they are from Pakistan Army, Air force, Navy, Rangers or from Police. These people are always there to serve and protect us from the evil attacks of militants or enemies of Pakistan.
Alot of heroes are still unknown but here I’m going to mention few of those combatants and their brave acts who make us feel proud, secure, protected.
1- SHAZIA GUL SHAHEED- FEMALE POLICE OFFICER IN KPK:
Shazia Gul was the first female police officer in KPK, She got martyred in bomb blast near Nowshehra Contonment board on 10th May, 2011 while performing her duty.
2- CAPT. QASIM ABBAS:
He finished the six month stint fighting with taliban close to the Afghan border, ambushing his convoy, pitching his vehicle off a 90feet cliff and leaving him with brain injuries. Alhamdulilah Capt. Abbas and other soldiers recoverd in Pakistan Military Rehablitation Hospital.
3- CAPT. KALEEM NASAR:
Capt. was part of an operation in North-West in January of this year, when he stepped on a bomb. The explosive blew on one if his legs and other had been ampulated below the knee. But he’s still satisfied that he’ve done something for his country.
4- SHABBIR ALAM SIDDIQUI SHAHEED (PILOT) & ASLAM QURESHI SHAHEED (NAVIGATOR) OF PAF:
These two brave combats did not return from their third bombing mission on the night of 6th Sept.,1965.
5- SIPAHI MAQBOOL HUSSAIN:
Maqbool Hussain was the war prisoner by Indian Army and had been totured for decades. When released he started to manage his regiment and was awarded as Sitara -e- Jurat.
6- MAJOR GENERAL TAJAMMAL HUSSAIN MALIK SHAHEED:
Tajammal Hussain shaheed along with his men defended with pouch ammunation and brush-off the main Indian offensive on Lahore along GT Road on 6th Sept.,1965 at Batapur bridge on Wagha sector.
7-CONSTABLE SHAHMIR SHAHEED & ASSISTANT SUB INSPECTOR (ASI) TABBASUM ALI SHAHEED:
These two policemen were gunned down while guarding the polioworkers in Karachi.
8- CAPT. ALI MEHMOOD SHAHEED:
He served in Siachin, Waziristan and in Swat aswell. His unit was operating in Suran valley, Upper Mohmand Agency. He was conducting the night operation, he volunteered to take his troops into battle. His convoy was ambushed and he ordered to dismount and taking up positions. He started firing on terrorists, he recieved a bullet on his neck and other on his chest. He embraced shahadat on 22nd May,2011.
9- DSR IBRAHIM KHAN AFRIDI SHAHEED AND DSR SALEEM KHAN AFRIDI SHAHEED:
Two real brothers of Punjab Rangers embracced shahadat on Feb 9,2010 in a suicide bomb blast in Peshawar.
10- NAIK MUHAMMAD KHALIL SHAHEED (PAK RANGERS):
Muhammad Kahlil along wih other personnel from Pak Rangers and Pak Navy was part of Rapid Response Squad which lead by Lt. SYED YASER ABBAS SHAHEED (PAK NAVY) at PNS Mehran base. On night of 22 May,2011 when militants attacked Mehran base, he attacked them Unarmed amd captured 1 terrorist alive. He succeded in killing terrorists but lost his life during this attack
So many soldiers of Pak Armed forces are still unknown and we Pray that May Allah swt place them highest place in Jannah and Protect our homeland from enemies. Ameen
